Design Technology provides all students with the understanding, thinking and practical skills to design and make products that will solve a variety of complex problems. The subject asks students to be innovative and poses challenges outside their core curriculum, despite the various and clear cross-curricular links. The vocational element of Design Technology allows students to explore and learn skills that can be used post-education.
Technology Subjects
Specialist Areas:
Students are very happy whilst attending the technology lessons across all the year groups. They enjoy the breadth of curriculum expertise and variation offered. We are a popular choice when students are choosing their options for KS4 and KS5. We are pleased as a department to have such fantastic facilities enabling students to show their practical talents to a high industrial-level standard, leading the way for successful progression in post-16 career choices.
